About me

I have worked in publishing for over 20 years, both in-house and as a freelance editor, and I am proud to have partnered with distinguished authors and publishers during the course of my career.

For the last 10 years, I have been running my own business as a Freelance Project Editor specializing in non-fiction titles. I have experience working across a broad spectrum of titles and subject areas and have been sought out for my expertize in cookery and food and drink titles.

This allows me to indulge my passion for food and drink and I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen at home. It has also enabled me to create my own content as a food and drink editor. I’m a great hoarder of cookery books and magazines, and can often be found pouring over the pages looking for something new to cook.

My clients have told me I’m meticulous and thorough and I am very used to adapting to new projects and subjects – one minute I’m working on an Ordnance Survey book and the next day I turn my attention to a book on Van Gogh! I am confident in my ability to manage a project from the initial idea right through to completion. I also love a bit of research, whether that be for a new book idea or sourcing the perfect author for a new project.

Outside of the day job, I enjoy village life in rural Hertfordshire with my husband, two daughters and our Fox Red Labrador, Isla. We’ve enjoyed exploring the local countryside since getting our dog and finding new walks for all the family to enjoy.
